Forest Survey of India (FSI) is a premier national organization under the union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India and is responsible for assessment and monitoring of the forest resources of the country on regular basis. In addition, it is engaged in providing training, research and extension services in the forestry sector.
