International Women’s Day 8th March 2023

PFA the pics Of “ As a part of weeklong celebration for International Women’s Day (IWD) falling on 8th March 2023, events on themes pertinent to women from 1st to 7th March 2022, were organized by Forest Survey of India, Dehradun.

The celebrations began with a meeting of all women employees of FSI to discuss issues related to women. Some of these issues discussed were as follows:

Upgrading and renovation of the crèche at office

A request for yoga camp not only for the women but all employees at regular intervals for holistic health and wellness

For better understanding and teamwork among women staff, a meeting once in every three months was proposed. Such meetings will help in creating a support group for working women.

Smt Meera Iyer, IFS, Joint Director (FGD) chaired the meeting. She shared information on Vishakha Guidelines. She also called upon her women colleagues to adopt an eco friendly lifestyle in keeping with the GoI’s recent initiative of 'Lifestyle for the Environment (LiFE).The other events in the series included poetry competition, with participants reciting heartwarming compositions related to women. The week concluded with a Holi-cum-Women’s Day celebrations on 7th evening enjoyed by everyone present.
