Shri Abhay Kumar Saxena, Assistant Director and Shri VP Sharma, Dy Ranger were superannuated from their service in Forest Survey of India

"On 31st January, 2023, two officials; Shri Abhay Kumar Saxena, Assistant Director and Shri VP Sharma, Dy Ranger, were superannuated from their service in Forest Survey of India. Shri AK Saxena joined FSI in the year 1990 as Sr Technical Assistant and worked in a number of projects like Forest Cover Mapping, Corals Mapping, Mangrove Project, Tiger Reserves Mapping Project, Decision Support System (DSS), e-Greenwatch, etc. Shri VP Sharma was a fieldman who retired as Deputy Ranger and handled the duties of caretaker and data library of Forest Geoinformatics Division. The Director General, who was travelling abroad for work, joined the programme virtually and gave an emotional message to the outgoing employees. Other senior officers and colleagues also shared their experiences and views, making the atmosphere charged. The family members of the two officials were also present during the function."
