Monitoring of changes in vegetation cover in 12 National Parks and Wildlife Sanctuaries  between 1981 and 1985/86/87

The monitoring of the change in vegetation cover in 12 National Parks and Wildlife Sanctuaries between 1981 and 1985, was carried out by the FSI through visual interpretation of the Landsat imagery on 1 :250,000 scale. The National Parks/Wildlife Sanctuaries which were taken for the study are listed below :

  1. Corbett National Park, Uttar Pradesh
  2. Rajaji National Park, Uttar Pradesh
  3. Great Himalayas National Park, Himachal Pradesh
  4. Naina Devi Wildlife Sanctuary, Himachal Pradesh
  5. Chail Wildlife Sanctuary, Himachal Pradesh
  6. Kugti Wildlife Sanctuary, Himachal Pradesh
  7. Indravati National Park, Madhya Pradesh
  8. Udanti Wildlife Sanctuary, Madhya Pradesh
  9. Sitanadi Wildlife Sanctuary, Madhya Pradesh
  10. Bhairamgarh Wildlife Sanctuary, Madhya Pradesh
  11. Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary, Madhya Pradesh
  12. Laokhawa Wildlife Sanctuary, Assam
